AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- A judge in Delaware is holding a hearing Thursday in the dispute between Fiat and the United Auto Workers Trust Fund over the price of Chrysler Group LLC stock. Fiat currently owns 58.5-percent of Chrysler while the trust holds the remaining shares.
Fiat's attempt to purchase the remaining stock has been slowed over the perceived value of the shares. The UAW trust values the stock at over 4.5-billion dollars, but Fiat officials say the price is inflated.
The Italian automaker is reportedly putting together financing to purchase the shares, while a decision by the court is not expected for another two months.
