The second and third rounds of the NFL Draft were conducted Friday in New York City. The Lions’ second round selection was aimed at shoring up their secondary and with the 36th overall pick, they took Mississippi State cornerback Darius Slay.
In round three, with the 65th overall pick, Detroit selected an offensive guard out of Kentucky, Larry Warford. And former Michigan State running back Le’Veon Bell was taken in the second round by the Pittsburgh Steelers. No University of Michigan players had their names called yesterday or Thursday. The draft continues today with the final four rounds.
