The fourth straight victory for Detroit moves them into first place in the American League Central with a 14-and-10 record and a half game lead over the Kansas City Royals. Max Scherzer lasted seven-and-a third innings while allowing three runs with ten strikeouts to improve to 3-and-0. Joaquin Benoit notched his second save.
