DETROIT (WKZO) -- General Motors is nearly doubling its investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee Assembly Plant.
An announcement of a 167-million dollar investment brings the total to 350-million dollars for new vehicles to be produced at the plant. The money is expected to create or retain about 1,800 jobs. The dollars go toward two projects.
The new programs will add to existing manufacturing operations at the site that include vehicle assembly, stamping, engine and component parts production.
