KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- 19-year-old Fred Glespie has been ordered to stand trial for his alleged role in a fire at Interfaith Apartments that left three toddlers dead.
The ruling came two weeks after Judge Paul Bridenstine heard testimony and wanted time to consider three new involuntary manslaughter counts requested by the prosecutor.
The Judge ruled he will face those charges and the four original counts of 2nd degree child abuse.Glespie claims he wasn’t asked to watch the children the morning their apartment caught fire. The children’s mother, Jonetta Woods says he was.
Unless there is a plea bargain, it will be up to a jury to sort it out.
