KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Braun Incorporated’s decision to move its business, converting vans for use by the disabled, from Kalamazoo to Indiana has Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer on the attack.
He says the Governor’s plan to bring jobs to Michigan isn’t working and that’s why unemployment rose again in July. He says Snyder’s decision to end incentives, like the kind offered to Braun in Indiana has left Michigan “unilaterally disarmed” when it comes to attracting and competing for firms lookng for a new home.
He says if it hadn’t been for the Federal Government’s decision to help the Auto Industry, there would be no recovery at all in Michigan.
Schauer says if elected he would restore the incentives to new businesses that Snyder cancelled when he became Governor.
Governor Snyder has not yet announced whether he is running for reelection, but it’s believed that he will.
