FLUSHING MEADOWS, NY (WTVB) - The Williams sisters, Serena and Venus, with six U.S. Open singles titles between them, posted easy first-round victories on Monday at Flushing Meadows. On the men’s side, red hot Rafael Nadal was an easy first-round winner yesterday on Day One of the 2013 U.S. Open. The second-seeded former world number-1 star is now 16-0 on hardcourts this year. Meanwhile, seventeen-time Grand Slam champion and former world number-one Roger Federer, a five-time U.S. Open champion, was also supposed to be in action Monday, but rain halted the night session and pushed his match to today.
