KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A resourceful store clerk is getting credit for helping Kalamazoo Public Safety track down two thieves.
They held up the Sunny Mart on S. Westnedge at gunpoint just after 1 p.m. Friday. They grabbed the money and left on foot.
The clerk followed them without being seen, to a nearby street where they had a getaway car stashed.
Her description of the car led officers to the 3000 block of Burdick where K-9’s were used to track down the two Kalamazoo residents aged 22 and 45.
Two guns and the cash were recovered. The two suspects are being held in the County Jail charged with armed robbery.
