KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The participants in a special service called it a day of recovery and healing as a memorial to three toddlers was unveiled outside the community building at Interfaith Homes. The metal plate attached to a large rock has etched on it the names of the three children who died while unattended in a burning townhouse several hundred feet from the spot where the memorial stands.Pastor Strick Strickland says a lesson comes out of every tragedy.Their grandmother says it should be a lesson to all parents to never leave young children unsupervised.Their mother, Jonetta Woods faces a hearing in family court next week to learn if she will regain custody of her surviving child or lose her parental rights permanently. She did not attend the ceremony.
