DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The Detroit Red Wings gave up four first period goals to the Ducks last night and Anaheim went on to win 5-2 at Joe Louis Arena, handing Detroit its sixth straight loss. Tomas Jurco opened the scoring for Detroit while Daniel Cleary lit the lamp late in the defeat.

Jonas Gustavsson was pulled after allowing three goals on 11 shots and Petr Mrazek closed things out in goal for the Red Wings, who will try to end their skid tomorrow night at home against Calgary.

In minor league hockey last night, in the ECHL, the Kalamazoo Wings scored a 2-1 overtime victory at Cincinnati.
