AUBURN HILLS, MI (WTVB) - The Pistons tonight shoot for their eighth win in 12 games when they take on the Charlotte Bobcats at the Palace of Auburn Hills. A victory would get Detroit back to .500 with their record now at 13-14 following a comeback win Wednesday night at Boston.

The big news from around the league Thursday was word that Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has a broken bone in his left knee with the injury expected to force Bryant to miss the next six weeks. He was hurt during the Lakers win Wednesday night at Memphis. Bryant, who tied his season high with 21 points in the victory over the Grizzlies, was just six games into his return from a torn Achilles he suffered last April against Golden State. The Lakers are currently 12-13 and will host Minnesota tonight.
