TEMPE, AZ (WTVB) - Freshman quarterback Shane Morris will get the call under center for Michigan when the Wolverines take on Kansas State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl tomorrow night in Tempe, Arizona. Morris takes over for Devin Gardner, the junior quarterback who suffered a left foot injury in Michigan’s regular season finale against Ohio State on November 30th. The left handed Morris was 5-of-9 passing for 65 yards and an interception in limited action over four games this season.
Mid-American Conference teams suffered a pair of defeats last night. In the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl at Ford Field in Detroit, the Pitt Panthers beat MAC champion Bowling Green 30-27. And in San Diego at the Poinsettia Bowl, Utah State defeated 24th-ranked Northern Illinois 21-14.
