BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- He had been suspended from his job as a Corrections Officer at the Calhoun County Jail. Now 26-year-old Troy Pope, the son of a former Battle Creek Police Chief and County Undersheriff, has now been fired after the completion of an internal investigation.
He has been charged with 3rd Degree CSC with a teenaged boy and solicitation of sex. State Police have concluded that he did not use his position with the department to coerce or influence the boys, which could have resulted in additional charges.
