DETROIT (WKZO) -- A civil rights icon is being honored in Detroit.  Rosa Parks's 100th birthday is being marked with an all-day program at the Henry Ford Museum.  The United States Postal Service is also unveiling a stamp with her likeness on it at the Charles H. Wright Museum.

Parks became a leader of the civil rights movement when she refused to give up her seat to a white man on a city bus in Alabama in 1955.  Rosa Parks and her husband later moved to Detroit, where she lived until her death in 2005.
