DETROIT (WKZO) -- No charges are expected against a Detroit coach who shot and killed a teen who was trying to rob him.
According to authorities, Martin Luther King High School girls assistant basketball coach Ernest Robinson was walking two players on the girl’s team to their cars Friday night when they were attacked. Robinson allegedly struggled with the teens before pulling out his licensed firearm and shooting them.
Sixteen-year-old Michael Scott was killed and his 15-year-old accomplice was injured. Robinson has been released from police custody and no charges have been filed.
