LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has outlined his budget for the coming year.

The governor is calling for an increase of the gasoline tax to 33-cents a gallon and increase vehicle registration costs to help fund the maintenance of the state's roads.  A plan to invest over 15-million dollars for the training and hiring of 107 additional Michigan State Police troopers was also revealed.

The governor plans on investing 15-billion dollars in education over the next two years with 130 million going to early childhood development.  Approximately 227-million dollars would be going to K-12 education under the plan.
