LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Snyder wants Michigan's motorists to pay more to fix the roads.  His fiscal year 2014 budget calls for another 14-cents in state gasoline taxes and 19-cents more per gallon in diesel taxes along with higher vehicle registration fees to raise 1.2-billion dollars for roadwork.  Republicans in the Legislature have their own proposals, one of which would raise the sales tax from six-percent to eight-percent and eliminating the state gas tax.
