BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- A Calhoun County man is being held on 200-thousand dollars bond after he allegedly physically abused the two young children of his live-in girlfriend.

He had been under suspicion and was arrested after her 4-year old boy turned up at the hospital emergency room for a second time.

20-year-old Guy Pettit of Battle Creek is charged with 3-counts of first degree child abuse. The children, the four-year-old and a five-year-old are being cared for by their biological father.
