SALEM (WKZO) -- Michigan State Police officials say a trooper shot and killed a man Tuesday morning after the suspect led them on a chase from Northville Township.
Police were investigating the report of a suspicious car that reportedly had the license plate concealed near Six Mile and Napier Roads. A nearby vehicle exploded and police spotted a man who began firing shots at them. The suspect led them on a chase before crashing his vehicle near Six Mile and Dixboro Roads.
The man allegedly got out of the truck armed with a knife and threatened the trooper who shot and killed the suspect. The victim's name has not been released.
