State won the big game in a rout over rival Michigan Tuesday night in college basketball but the Detroit Free Press says President Obama’s State of the Union address, which was going on at the same time, was the TV ratings winner, at least among Motown viewers. The Free Press says 350-thousand people tuned in to watch the President, not counting cable, between 9 and 11 p.m. while around 263-thousand viewers at the same time made the hoops action their program of choice.
