Livingston Murder Trial Begins

The defense in the Antonio Livingston murder trial claims that just because he was there when Bob Medema was beaten to death with a baseball bat, doesn’t necessarily make him guilty. The prosecution argued that in the eyes of the law, if he was there participating in a burglary that leads to murder, than he is just as liable.

The Prosecution’s first witnesses were called to set the scene of the crime. Bob Medema’s brother, who discovered his body lying on the kitchen floor testified about how he had obviously been beaten, and that the bat was nearby, and that his arms and legs had been tied with the cord from a sweeper. The Jury also heard from a friend who was second on the scene and the first public safety officers to arrive, who described how the house had been ransacked.

Its clear Livingston’s attorney intends to blame co-conspirator John Aguilar for instigating and carrying out the murder and robbery.  He is being tried separately.
