COLUMBUS, OH (1660 THE FAN) - Maybe it was the Ohio State pep band spelling out the "Ohio" on the Buckeyes' ice that brought the home team good luck. More likely it was OSU forward Alex Szczechura, who scored a hat trick against the Broncos, as Ohio State defeated Western 6-3 Saturday night. The Broncos were up 3-2, when the Buckeyes scored four unanswered goals to take the win. Western remains in 2nd place in the CCHA, while Ohio State solidified its hold on 4th. Next up for the Broncos...hosting Notre Dame next weekend. Both games can be heard on 96.5 WKZO.
