The Red Wings dropped their third straight game last night with a 3-to-2 loss at Minnesota. Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and an assist while Damien Brunner also scored for Detroit. Petr Mrazek made 21 stops in the loss. The Red Wings scored 20 seconds into the second period to go up 2-to-0 but then the Wild answered with 3 straight goals in the middle frame as Detroit’s record slipped to 7-6-and-2.
Tomorrow night, the Red Wings play at Nashville. In minor league hockey, in the ECHL, the Kalamazoo Wings play this afternoon at Cincinnati.
