MATTAWAN (WKZO) -- State Police have released the name of the Kalamazoo man who was shot at a weekend party in Mattawan.

They say 27-year-old Ricardo Parker was found dead at the Antwerp Township Activity Center early Sunday morning.

They still have not released the name of a 29-year-old man from Battle Creek who was severely beaten during the altercation that ended the party.

He was said to be in critical condition but police say they now expect him to recover.Detectives planned to interview him to see if he could identify the gunman. So far no arrests have been announced.
