LANSING, MI (WKZO) -- It’s looking more and more like Detroit will get an emergency financial manager.
A financial review team determined that not only does the Motor City have a financial emergency on its hands, but it really has no way to resolve it. Governor Rick Snyder has 30-days to review the report and determine if he agrees, but he could appoint an E.F.M. as soon as next week.
Given the fact that voters in Michigan tossed out the E.F.M. Law in November, and the legislature has since reinstated a version that is nearly as controversial, sparks could fly.
