DEARBORN (WKZO) -- Ford Motor Company is investing nearly 200-million dollars in its Cleveland Engine Plant in preparation for production of the two-liter EcoBoost engine.  The move will bring 450 new jobs to the plant.

Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of The Americas, says, "The Cleveland Engine Plant was the first to produce EcoBoost engines and will continue to be a strategic cornerstone of Ford's strategy to deliver affordable fuel economy for millions."  Production at the plant is slated to begin late next year.

The Cleveland Engine Plant currently builds the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and 3.7-liter V6.
