KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Antonio Livingston will have to wait a long weekend to find out whether a Kalamazoo Circuit Court Jury will find him guilty in the murder of Antiques Dealer Robert Medema. If they jury takes its time wading thru the week and a half of testimony and weighs carefully the 4 different charges that Livingston faces, it could take even longer.
In closing arguments, the defense once again claimed that Livingston was duped into participating in the burglary and murder, and did not carry out the killing. They blame co-defendant John Aguilar for everything.
The Prosecution’s response was that Livingston has done everything he could since his arrest to try to deflect blame away from him. Investigators claim Livingston has given them two dozen differnt versions of what happened that night, since his arrest. They say the the one he told in court was just his latest lie.
The jury spent nearly 3 hours deliberating Friday. They will be back at it Tuesday morning.
