UNDATED (WTVB) - Advanced breast cancer is impacting more young women. A new study published in the "Journal of the American Medical Association" indicates the number of women ages 25 to 39 diagnosed with advanced breast cancer jumped more than three-and-a-half percent in the years between 2000 and 2009. And unfortunately, the prognosis tends to be worse for younger patients. The study was based on an analysis of statistics, and some experts wonder whether the increase is real. They're concerned that the report will scare women needlessly.
