BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- A Calhoun County Corrections officer finds himself on the other side of the bars after he has been formally charged with soliciting sex from teenaged boys. 26-year-old
Officer Troy Pope is the son of a former Battle Creek Police Chief. An 18-year-old accused him of soliciting him last week and claims a a 15-year-old did the same two years ago in the parking lot of the FOP lodge in Springfield.
State Police have taken over the investigation and they say they are waiting to see if any other boys come forward.
Pope is on paid administrative leave for now, and is being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail.
