Last year’s MVP of the American League Championship Series for the Tigers in their ALCS victory over the Yankees will play this coming season in the National League. Delmon Young has signed a one-year, 750-thousand dollar deal with the Philadelphia Phillies. The 27-year old Young was Detroit’s designated hitter in 2012 but they decided not to re-sign him when he became a free agent after last season.
