The 1-and-2 Red Wings play their second home game of the season tonight when they take on the Minnesota Wild at Joe Louis Arena. Detroit coach Mike Babcock switched things up at Thursday’s practice by taking Pavel Datsyuk off the first line, splitting up Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg. But Babcock said the two would play together on the power play.
In the ECHL, the Kalamazoo Wings don’t have a home game until Sunday when they host Bakersfield. The K-Wings skate tonight at Toledo and tomorrow at Cincinnati. And in college hockey, Western Michigan and Michigan face off tonight and tomorrow night in Kalamazoo at Lawson Ice Arena.
