Number two Michigan trailed at halftime at home for the first time this season but showed up strong after the break to push past Purdue 68-to-53 last night at Crisler Center. The 18-and-1 Wolverines are one of the trio of teams with one Big Ten loss and Michigan aims to possibly take over the top spot in the polls if they can win Sunday night at Illinois.

Trey Burke led the Wolverines against Purdue with 15 points and eight assists. Michigan has won two straight since suffering their lone loss of the season at Ohio State on January 13th. The Wolverines and Indiana are tied for second in the Big 10 with 5-and-1 conference records while Michigan State is 6-and-1 and will play at Indiana Sunday afternoon, a game M-S-U coach Tom Izzo calls a must win for the Spartans.
