The Red Wings scored four unanswered goals, including two from Valtteri Filppula to pull out a 4-to-1 win over the Stars last night at Joe Louis Arena.

Henrik Zetterberg and Damien Brunner had the other two scores for Detroit while Pavel Datsyuk tallied two assists. Jimmy Howard stopped 25 of the 26 Dallas shots he faced as the Red Wings improved to 3-2-and-1. Detroit Coach Mike Babcock said after the game that the red wing’s penalty killing was outstanding with the stars going 0-for-5 on power play opportunities.  The Red Wings return to action Friday at home against St. Louis.
