KENT COUNTY (WKZO) -- A mini-van went out of control on I-196 in Kent County Saturday morning near Market Street, putting all 10 of its passengers in the hospital.
Some of the victims were children and some of them are said to be seriously injured.
State Police say it appears the driver, a 47-year-old Grand Rapids man tried to change lanes but suddenly realized there was a car already in the lane. They say he overcorrected and lost control, leaving the pavement, rolling the van several times and striking several trees.
One passenger was ejected, another was trapped in the van and had to be cut from the wreckage.
The names and condition of the victims has not been released.
