WEST MICHIGAN (WKZO) -- It could be the hottest week of the summer but that’s not saying much.
Sunday was the first time West Michigan broke the 90-degree mark this year.
National Weather Service Meteorolgist Wayne Hoepner says with highs in the low 90’s this week, it may be a little uncomfortable but you won’t need to take special precautions, unless you plan strenuous exercise.
He says they don’t issue heat advisories until it gets much hotter than this forecast. '
Some may consider it a heat wave. Others call it beach weather.
Its a far cry from the weather we had last year, with frequent highs in the mid-90's and more than the usual share of days over 100 degrees.
