BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - The longtime Chief of Police in Bronson, Dick Stout, who served on the force for three decades, has passed away. Richard L. Stout died Monday at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and then was an officer with the Bronson Police Department for ten years and served as Chief for the past 20 years. A long time Rotarian, Dick was also an honorary member of the Hochunk Indian Tribe in Wisconsin. He enjoyed fishing and was a avid collector of Native American Artifacts.
A memorial service be held at 1:00 PM tomorrow at Lockwood Community Church of Coldwater. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon. A second memorial service will be held on Friday of this week at 2:00 PM at Upper Deer Creek Church in Galveston, Indiana.
