KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Reverend AL Sharpton and the National Action Network are calling for 100 towns to hold demonstrations against the not-guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman murder trial today.

Kalamazoo will be one of those cities, with a demonstration scheduled at the County Courthouse near Bronson Park at noon today.

Sharpton says one goal is to press the federal government to investigate civil rights charges against Zimmerman.

Several groups, including ISAAC and the Staff of the Arcus Center are organizing today’s event in Kalamazoo.
