Another Enbridge pipeline protest in Michigan

Environmental groups charge Enbridge with hundreds of pipeline leaks over the last decade.
Environmental groups charge Enbridge with hundreds of pipeline leaks over the last decade.

STOCKBRIDGE, MI (WTVB) - A protest Monday by the Michigan Coalition Against Tar Sands at an Ingham County Enbridge pipeline site brought the arrests of a dozen people. The action included two women attached to a bulldozer and started around 8 o’clock in the morning in Stockbridge. The coalition wants to bring a halt to the refining and transportation of tar sands oil from Michigan and the rest of the country.

It was about a month ago on June 24th that Chris Wahmhoff of Kalamazoo was taken into custody and later charged after protesting Enbridge by holing himself up for ten hours inside a new section of the Enbridge pipeline 6-B south of Marshall.
