KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- WMU is going to move Bronco Bash from the area in front of Miller Auditorium, to the new plaza in front of Sangren hall in a few months.University Spokesperson Cheryl Rolland says that was always their intent and their plan for the big green space in front of sangren. She also says that Fountain plaza has shrunk in the 34-years since the first Bronco Bash, there are several new buildings there that weren’t there originally, and there are plans now to landscape it.
Bronco Bash is the welcome back to school party that WMU holds to reintroduce students to on-campus organizations and off-campus businesses.
WMU Students returning in the fall will find out today how much more it will cost them. The Board of Trustees has this year’s tuition hike and the budget for the next year on today’s agenda.
The state has put a cap on tuition hikes at 3.75%. Any higher than that and the school would see a reduction in the state funding they receive.
