KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo School Board Trustee Mark Totten has made it official in an e-mail to friends that he plans to run to become Michigan’s Attorney General next year.
The Kalamazoo Democrat teaches law at Michigan State University and is a volunteer federal prosecutor. Incumbent A.G. Bill Schuette has not announced whether he plans to run for reelection.
The MIRS news agency reports that he may not be the only democrat running. Senator Gretchen WHitmer and Portia Roberson with the U.S. Justice Department may also be considering a run at Schutte.
