Kalamazoo aims to get muddy again at the Muddy Patriot

KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Muddy Patriot is making it's way back to Southwest Michigan and this year aims to be better than ever.  The event which will be held on June 29th at the Timber Ridge Ski Area is a family friendly, 1 day event featuring a 3 mile MUDDY military style obstacle course for anyone 13 and up. Runners will be faced with conquering over 20 muddy obstacles like huge swings over mud pits, balance beams, and slip n’ slides!

The Lil’ Patriot Mud Run for children 12 and under will also be back and better than ever!  Included with this event will be live music, delicious food, a huge outdoor beer garden, exhibits, prize giveaways to include “Future Muddy Patriot Event Registrations, Timber Ridge Ski Passes and other prizes from local businesses.” Even the spectators of this event are in for some thrills because Timber Ridge will have the Ski Lifts running so you can watch the action from the sky! This 3rd edition of the Muddy Patriot at Timber Ridge will feature a redesigned course with even more mud and obstacles.

The mission of the MUDDY PATRIOT is to give people a good reason to get a little crazy. Signing up for this event gives people a chance to challenge themselves and part of the proceeds go to three local children’s charities; Bronson Children's Hospital, The Ark, and Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center.
