Motorcyclist still critical after collision with a utility truck

GENEVA TOWNSHIP  (WKZO) -- Van Buren County Deputies say Timothy Cowell, a 55-year-old man from Grand Junction, remains in critical condition at a Kalamazoo Hospital after crashing his motorcycle into the back of a Consumers Energy Utility truck. It happened just after 9 a.m. Saturday.

The collision occurred at the Intersection of CR 388 and CR 681 in Geneva Township. The driver of the Consumers Energy bucket truck, 52-year-old Mark Anderson of Wayland told investigators that he stopped at the crossing, didn’t see any traffic and entered the intersection.

That’s when the 2008 Harley Davidson driven by Cowell slammed into the truck.

First responders found him on the ground. He was transported to South Haven Hospital by ambulance and then airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital by AirCare.
