MATTAWAN (WKZO) --   Plans are being made for the funeral of Mattawan Firefighter Nate Fruin who died on his way to a fire Tuesday night. 

Visitation has been set for Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Betzler Life Story Funeral home on Stadium Drive.  Other plans are still in the works.  Kalamazoo Public Safety and other local departments with Honor Guards have offered their services.  The Patriot Guard and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is also said to be helping coordinate plans for a procession and large funeral service.

It’s believed he suffered a full cardiac arrest before first responders could get to him and was pronounced dead at Bronson Emergency. He was only 22.
