DETROIT (WKZO) -- The leader of the National Action Network says the appointment of an Emergency Financial Manager would undermine the will of the people.

The Reverend Al Sharpton told a radio audience that voters elected the city leadership knowing they were facing a financial crisis.  The local branch of National Action Network is one of several organizations that have vowed to fight the appointment of an Emergency Manager in court.

Governor Rick Snyder concluded the city was facing financial emergency after reviewing the report of a commission that found Detroit is facing an estimated 327-million-dollar deficit.
