ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO) -- Sunday’s lead-off episode on "60 Minutes" featured St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and some of its patients, as part of an investigation into the deadly outbreak of fungal meningitis.
Thirteen of the 48 deaths linked to the outbreak occurred in Michigan, 16 if you count the three from Cass County who received their shots in Indiana. Willard Mazure and Julie Otto say the treatments have been brutal, and that they may never be cured.
During the outbreak, St. Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor became and remains ground zero for treating victims of the outbreak in Michigan
