HARBOR SPRINGS (WKZO) -- History will be made in northern Michigan this week when the first legal same-sex marriage ceremony will be conducted in the state. While voters outlawed gay marriage, Native American tribal land is sovereign and the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians will legalize the unions on Friday. The "Petoskey News" reports Tim LaCroix will marry Gene Barfield after being together for 30 years.
