UNDATED (WTVB) - Drinking coffee or green tea every day could decrease the risk of a stroke by 20 percent. A study conducted by researchers in Japan looked at 83-thousand people and determined coffee and green tea drinkers suffered fewer strokes than everyone else. The authors aren't exactly sure why coffee and tea has such an effect.

One of the researchers tells "HealthDay News" the drinks may have properties that keep blood from clotting.
