PORTAGE (WKZO) --     A couple was arrested early this morning after they were caught in a stolen car, but not until after a dangerous high speed crash.  Portage Police took the initial report and got the tip that the car might be in Vicksburg.  They traveled down there and spotted the car, which fled, leading police from Portage, Vicksburg and Schoolcraft all over the area.

The car was finally stopped when stop strips were deployed near Portage Road and the car went about 100 yards went off the road. The man and woman made a run for it, but were tracked down about a half hour later by K-9’s, and taken into custody for car theft and fleeing and eluding.
