KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- The mother of the three children who died in the fire at Interfaith Apartments will go to trial to defend her parental rights with her fourth child, who is now in the care of an aunt. Jonetta Woods has only had the right to supervised visitation with her fourth child since the fire.
A probate court hearing yesterday failed to resolve the issue.
She could have even bigger legal problems if she is personally charged with leaving the children home alone. She claims she left them with her male friend, Fred Glespie, who denies any such responsibility.
Police investigators still haven’t sent their investigation file to the prosecutor. That could come in the next few weeks
