The Tigers cut eight players from their spring roster Tuesday, including top prospect Nick Castellanos. The outfielder is off to Minor League camp while left-hander Duane Below was optioned to Triple-A Toledo. In Grapefruit League play yesterday, Detroit lost 11-to-5 to the Tampa Bay Rays. Tiger starter Doug Fister was roughed up for 7-runs, two earned, over three and two-thirds innings, allowing 3 walks along with a grand slam. Detroit has the day off today, but will return to the field tomorrow in Lakeland as they host the Houston Astros
